Mets Rebound with Win Over Red Sox

The Mets rebounded after a tough loss Thursday by beating the Red Sox 17-7 at Winnemac Saturday. The Mets greeted the Red Sox with 8 runs in the top of the 1st and never looked back. Matt Mykowski won his second straight by throwing a complete game. Carlos Portocarrero was 2 for 2 with a triple and 3 runs. Mike Bach reached base 4 times. Joe Haufle contributed 3 hits. Luis Lewis and Nick Kofski had multi-hit games. Kris Couch added a 3 run homer and 3 run triple. Next game is Tuesday night against the Hounds at Maywood.
