Mets Win Back-to-Back Games

Scott Guess got the start Sunday and led the Mets to their second win of the year. Guess threw all 6 innings allowing 2 runs on 5 hits while striking out 8 and walking 3. After being held to 3 hits in each of their first 2 games, the Mets exploded for 16 hits against the Black Sox. Carlos Portocarrero and Matt Mykowski both went 3 for 3. Angelo Deblasi, Louis Lewis, Joey Haufle, and Jimmy Boschold had multi-hit games. The defense behind Guess was also solid as the Mets committed no errors. Next game is Thursday night against the Browns at Maywood.
