Braves Seek New Look for 2007

The Braves as you know them are gone. Beginning in the 2007 season, the team will officially change its name to the Chicago Mets. The team will continue to be managed by Jeff Panagopoulos. Joining Jeff as assistant coaches are Kris Couch and Joe Haufle. Couch previously served as assistant coach during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Haufle joined the team in 2006 after many successful seasons with the Marlins. Monthly team meetings will begin in November. Any players interested in joining the Mets please contact Jeff at Jeff_Panagopoulos@ameritech.net. Indoor practices will begin in February for current team members. Tryouts and outdoor practices will begin soon after, weather permitting.
