Braves battle back to beat Cubs!

You would think the Cubs have the Braves number by now.The last 5 meetings the Cubs have had 7-8 run leads and each time have given the Braves the chance to come back.It didnt start out so well as Scott G. took to the mound on 3 days rest, the Cubs quickly jumped on the Braves in the 1st inning by scoring 4 runs on 5 hits.The Braves would answer with 1 in their bottom half on a walk and sb by Sean C.Sean would be driven in by J.R. Bogan with 2 outs in the inning.The Cubs would have another big inning by scoring 3 more runs on a 3-run HR by Dave W, to make the score 7-1.Braves would not give up, in the bottom of the 3rd the Braves would add 2 more runs to make it 7-3.The Cubs though be a good hitting team would put up 3 more runs in the top of the 5th to make it 10-3.The Braves would not give in so easily-in their bottom half the Braves would score 3 times,Sean C lead off with a hit and score on Joe Haulfes long ass single.J.R Bogan would knock Joe in with an RBI double.With the bases loaded on walks,Dave H would draw a walk of his own to score the 3rd run.With the score 10-6.The Braves would score another 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th, Mike C lead off the inning with a base hit, with one out in the inning Sean C hit a triple to make the game 10-7!Greg N.would then get a base hit a 10-8 game! Scott would hold the Cubs down in the 7th to allow the Braves to make a comeback. With one out in the 7th, Bill G would line a double,followed by a walk by J.R. Bogan.With 2 outs in the inning, Dave Holleman knocked a base hit.Then up tp bat was Sean D.Sean hit a tough ball up the middle, the shortstop came came up with the ball, tough play and throws it to 1st, just under the 1st basemens glove allowing 2 runs to score to tie the game at 10!To the 8th inning where Scott G shut the Cubs down, with the help of a nicely turned Double play by Bill and J.R to end the inning.To the bottom of the 8t tied 10-10. With one out Sean C is hit by the pitch.Well with Sean on 1st we know he would be taking off and sure enough stole 2nd base! Then Greg Novak the games hero comes up big with his 2nd hit and most importantly his 2nd RBI of the game, this one a GAME WINNER.! Braves come back to win the game 11-10! Good pitching late in the game and timely hiting proved to the difference here.Just goes to show the Braves NEVER give up!
