Braves overpower the Mustangs
With the performace the Braves put up on sunday against the Browns, they were determined to prove they are the ones to beat.

On Tuesday the Braves took the field against the Mustangs with Matt Kempfs first start of the year. Matt was dominant the entire game as he easily pitched his first win of the season. Matt's defensive skills also were a big help as he DELLED (a combination of diving and falling) to catch a hard shot up the middle, it was very maddux like. Matt pitched a complete game (5 innings) giving up 1 UNearned run, 3 hits, no walks and stiking out 8. Matt looked to be in midseason form (thanks to the pain killers)

With the great pitching, the Braves added thier offensive attack and never let up. The big shot of the day came from Angie D. with a TOWERING 3-run shot to left field that hit the railroad tracks on a fly, it was easily 380ft+. Angie finished the day 2 for 2 with 4rbi's. Joe Haufle added with a 2 for 3 day with 3rbi's and Sean D had another huge day going 2 for 3 with 3rbi's. Late in the game Sean Carney put us way ahead with a 3-run triple while Jimmy sostak hit a monster double to the center field fence which was a 380ft shot (the fence is 398).

The Braves are hoping this offense stays hot and can continue through the season as thier pitching stays solid to keep them in the game.

the Braves look to continue this streak on Saturday against the Aviators. stay tuned....
