Braves SMASH the Browns
Hello Braves Fans...

Yesterday the Braves took the field for thier season opener against the Browns at the infamous walther luthern field. After 2 back to back rain outs the Braves were hungry for baseball, and they came out and proved to all we are here to play.

Jimmy Boschold took the hill and started off with a bang. he stuck out the first 3 batters in the bottom of the 1st to get the Braves going. Jimmy pitched 6 solid innings with 5k and giving up only 3 runs.

The offensive attack was in midseason form to say the least. Sean D blasted his first home run of the year to right center field. J.R. bogan crushed a ball to the opposite field (right) and almost hit the school on a fly in his 1st homer of the year. Sean carney had a shot over the right/center fence but was ruled a ground rule double, and Jim Boschold helping his own cause hit a Line shot over the right field fence that was called a double as well. Boschold finished with game 2 for 4 with 5RBI's.
Joe Haufle in his 1st at bat with the Braves had an RBI single.

The braves were able to get 12 runs on 14 hits with NO errors against 4 different Browns pitchers. The browns were held to 3 run through 6 innings and came through with 4 runs in the bottom of the 7th. The Browns ended up with 7 runs on 12 hits and 6 Errors.

With the pitching and offensive power the braves showed this is going to be an exciting year.
