Braves win 4th straight...
Braves beat Browns on Deblasi Walkoff Hit to Clinch Playoff Berth, Win 4th Straight

The Braves clinched at least 2nd place in the Washington Division in an exciting victory over the Browns Tuesday night. They also won their 4th straight game behind solid pitching and some clutch hitting. Scott Guess got the start for the Braves. Guess was magnificent most of the night. He had a little trouble in the 2nd and the 7th innings, but the rest of the game he was on auto-pilot. He went all 7 innings, and allowed 6 runs (5 earned), on 9 hits and had 4 strikeouts.

Scoring Summary:
The Braves jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st when Jim O'Brien drove in Sean Carney with a double. Carney had singled and stole 2nd to put himself in scoring position.
The Browns did most of their damage in the 2nd, scoring 4 runs on 5 singles and an error.
The Braves rallied back in the 5th to tie the game. The 5th saw Jim Boschold and Sean Donnelly reach with singles, and Joe Petrancosta take first on an error. Dan Holleman walked with the bases loaded to score Boschold. Sean Carney then drove in Petrancosta on a fielder's choice, and Donnelly scored on an error.
The Braves regained the lead in the bottom of the 6th on a Jim Boschold double to left center scoring Trent Gann. They also scored on a passed ball to take a 2 run lead into the 7th.
In the top of the 7th, after the first two Browns were retired, the next two reached on singles. The next batter lofted a fly ball to center that fell in front of a diving Sean Carney to drive in two and tie the game.
The Braves weren't done though. With 2 out and the winning run on 3rd (Carney), Angelo Deblasi lofted a soft liner to center that fell in to win the game.

It was a thrilling victory for the Braves and probably the best game of the year so far. Looking ahead to Wednesday, the Braves head to Maywood to take on the surging Mustangs.
